Chavez March Mania!!

Spring is in full swing! This has been one whirlwind of a month, and its not quite over just yet! Noah wrapped up city league basketball, and we had one full week off from that before the

YMCA league began. Serena has played softball every weekend this month, round robin in the valley, league play and the 2010 Bombers tournament in New Braunfels. It has all been so much fun!!!! The kids really do keep us busy, I am so proud of all that they do. oh! did I mention the Bombers Tournament was 32 degrees and we played at night....it was sooooo cold!

Winter Family Photo Session: Heritage Park

About a month ago I contacted this awesome photographer, Tiffany Tijerina, to take our winter family portrait. The results were amazing, we loved them. For those interested I found Tiffany through my friend Blanca's blog (the flores family), Tiffany's blogspot is under the The Pineapple Life on my blog. She does great work, and I would recommend it to everyone who is tired of studio pictures. Enjoy! Tom and I. My husband the skeptic, loved the pics, so that speaks volumes. He trusted me and the results were to he liking.

Family Time

Today was great! I slept in, got up cleaned around the house, took kiddos shopping, and then home to get ready for church. The best part of today was that it was Tom's idea to start going back to church! Nothing feels better than having my husband say, "Lets go to church at 6, since we know we will be busy tomorrow." Normally I have to push to get him through the church doors. So thank you Jesus, for laying your blessing upon my family.

OH!!!! HOW TIME FLIES

I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN A YEAR SINCE MY LAST POST....LETS SEE WHERE DO I BEGIN....
UMMM..........LETS START WITH THE KIDS....SERENA IS STILL PLAYING SOFTBALL. SHE IS NOW PLAYING 10 AND UNDER, SHE IS THE SHORT STOP FOR THE LADY DEVILS. AND TAKING PITCHING LESSONS. SHE IS READING BEAUTIFULLY AND ENJOYING IT! SHE MADE "A" HONOR ROLL FOR THE FIRST TIME! SERENA HAS HAD SOME GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS, IN SPORTS AND ACADEMICS! NOAH IS PLAYING BASKETBALL, AND LOVING IT! HIS TEAM WAS NOT SO GREAT, BUT HE HAD ENOUGH FUN TO SIGN UP AGAIN!! HE IS IN SECOND GRADE AND ENJOYING IT.....HE HAS MADE "AB" HONOR ROLL TWICE SINCE THE START OF SCHOOL! IN JULY TOM'S STORE WAS TORN DOWN, AND HE IS CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING THE NEW STORE UP AND RUNNING. THAT HAS BEEN CONSUMING HIM SINCE THE SUMMER....I AM STILL GOING TO SCHOOL....YES STILL! I AM STILL WORKING AT MOODY AND ENJOYING IT! I WILL POST SOME PICS LATER SO STAY TUNED!!!! I WILL BE BLOGGING FAITHFULLY....GOD BLESS 2010!

Chavez Update

i finally GRADUATED! and it was emotional for me, especially to have my mom there to celebrate with me, she never earned her high school diploma, so i am proud to share my accomplishment with her. she made me who i am today, and she taught me to never give up, for that i am grateful to her. the kids and i are wrapping up are last few days of school for the christmas break, we will go back in january, isn't this job the best, no school and no work it will be great. tom had his annual christmas party this week and i was so proud of him, he was awarded MANAGER OF THE YEAR and TOP SALES FOR THE YEAR! applause, applause, applause!!! it was a great weekend for us, it was a time for us to truly be thankful for all that we have accomplished this year, me with school and tom with work. the kids are doing great and are ready for the break, we will be spending christmas in austin with our family. i am also bracing myself for school to start at TAMUCC, i am secretly excited to began this journey, to becoming a teacher. i hope everyone has a happy christmas and joyful new year.

DIZZY!

THE LAST FEW WEEKS HAVE BEEN CRAZY. SERENA'S SOFTBALL TEAM WENT "PRO" OR IN LITTLE LEAGUE TERMS "SELECT" AND SO WE HAVE BEEN PLAYING IN TOURNAMENTS ON THE WEEKENDS. NOAH'S TEAM THE "REDWINGS" ARE IN THE LITTLE LEAGUE PLAYOFFS, DURING THE WEEK. AND I COULDN'T FIND A JOB TO SAVE MY LIFE AND IN ONE DAY I WAS CALLED FOR TWO, AND IF I COULD HAVE TAKEN BOTH I WOULD HAVE. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WENT FOR THE ONE WITH CCISD AND NOW AM A "MOODY TROJAN"!!!! THIS WAS MY FIRST WEEK AND IT IS GOING GREAT. ALSO I AM GETTING READY FOR FINALS AND GRADUATION!!!! AND THE HOLIDAYS ARE OFFICIALLY HERE. I AM DRAINED PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY. I HAVE A WEEK OFF FOR THANKSGIVING WHICH I WILL USE TO STUDY FOR FINALS AND WORK MY BUT OFF TO PASS WITH FLYING COLORS.....SO THAT IS IT FOR NOW STAYED TUNED!!!!! MISS AND LOVE YOU ALL!

THE CAKE

I FOUND THIS GREAT PUMPKIN CAKE IDEA ON KRAFT FOODS. I THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT IDEA. MY STEP~SISTER HAD A HALLOWEEN PARTY FOR THE KIDS AND SHE HAD A FOOD CONTEST, I DIDN'T WIN BUT ITS A CUTE CAKE. AND IT WAS VERY MOIST SO I AM TOLD....EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT WIN....ITS A DAMN GREAT CAKE!
